It already has
"Look people, there has ALWAYS been open source, it's just been
called many different things."

Like what? We thought it was always called open source.

"It's not bad, some of it is even good, but it is NOT going to
change the world no matter how much you tell yourself it will."

It already has changed the world. Open source applications and
OSes are enjoyed by millions on the server, in the embedded
space, and by a growing number on the desktop.

Citizens of less developed countries can now get word
processors in their native language and access to the source
code and development tools for zero cost. Communities of like
minded people are developing all around the world to share this
IP freedom.

Firefox, OpenOffice, Solaris, Linux, Apache, etc continue to grow
from strength to strength. Bitty's upset it might extend this
growth to his MS overlord on the desktop. Poor Bitty;-)
