- I really don't see the exchange of product information as the biggest, or even a big, issue. It's an issue, for sure, but companies have been exchanging product information for years, and it basically works. Standards are getting better and better, and it's getting simpler, but the efficiency of exchanging product data pales as a business issue in relation to the real time visibility and the competitive advantage gained from the lack of scanning, and better asset tracking. Those are the key business issues to the customers I work with.
