political correctness?
First, I do have to agree with you that I do not think the current situation is totally gender discrimination. However, I disagre with your reasoning. Let me state, I hate whineing so this will not be a post which whines. There are more men than women in positions of power. It is not really that they are discriminating, but more than know that Mr. X over at A corp did so and so for A corp and maybe he can do it for us. This has nothing to do with I think Mr. X can do a better job than Ms. Y. Now this will change in the coming years. Once again not because of anything having to do with gender perse, except one thing. More girls at this time are doing better in school than their male counter parts. More woman are also going on to get higher education. As girls learn they can do something they do it. There are more small business owners in the US making more jobs than the larger companies and guess who is still top people starting new companies? that is right woman.

However, my concern is this- how will you as a man handle it? Since, it is very likely at some point in your carrer to either being employeed or having a woman manager?

1) you state it is "known" fact woman are more emotional than men. You need to add to that "known according to men". It is not really a question of emotions it is that men are used to some emotions and not others. For example, two men (I am tring to come up with a none emotional word for what I am tring to get across and I cant) picking on each other for who's favorite team just got elimantated from March madness. I have heard very, as far as I was concerned, ugly things said back and forth with no hard feeling on the point of the men. They still consider each other friends. If I had said half of what I hear the men around me say to my woman friends I would have no friends. It is not a question of emotion. It is a question of how we use words. Men and woman are different in how they go about things and view the world. Up until now the male view has not been challenged. It is now. There will be changes, there will be challenges and there will be a lot of people mad on both sides of the fence. That is life the best anyone can do it to try to understand the other side.
