I will not be CIO because I am Female
Let me correct you as it appears I was not quite clear. I tried not crusing along but my efforts were not appreciated or rewarded. The good old boys wanted me to do the work but not get the title or the money. I simply do only what is required now. It only takes me about 15 minutes to complete my given tasks in any given day because I no longer expend effort to take on extra work, solve the problems my so called white male superior can't, and basically refuse to use my brain for his gain. After years of making an effort, I no longer find it to be to my advantage. In short, I have ceased beating my head against the glass wall and ceiling. No more 60 hour work weeks, no more weekend work, no more no vacations.
Management promoted him, and those before him, not because they had the experience, education, knowledge, or ability but simply because they were the right gender.
