- Interesting example of gender difference

DISCLAIMER: Just a real life example. Not characteristic of everyone.
A friend of mine was looking for a job after his MBA. He was interviewing at Kodak and IBM.
Kodak offered him X amount.
He went to IBM and said "I'd like to take your offer, but Kodak offered me X."
IBM offered him X+3.
He went to Kodak and said "I'd like to take your offer, but IBM just offered me X+3."
Kodak offered him X+5.
He went to IBM and said "I'd like to take your offer, but Kodak just offered me X+5."
IBM offered him X+7.
He went to Kodak, who said that they couldn't beat that. He went to IBM.
A female friend said "I would have NEVER considered doing that. I just take whatever they offer me."
I have since asked a lot of acquaintances if they would consider doing (or have done) this.
Almost every male said yes; and some have done it.
Almost all the females said no. - Posted by: SC-man Posted on: 03/14/06 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
