Remember this decision...
... if you're tempted to believe the law is anything other than what a Judge decides it should be.

In order to reach this decision, the Court had to read the mind of the defendant, ignore the plain text of the employment agreement, and interpret a Federal law in a way that changes the plain meaning of words.

If one couldn't follow the desperate scramble to reach the result intended, but was allowed to see only the component parts of that decision, one would be confused about why reality was being battled so intensely.

I think the law would have been less badly served if the three Judges had climbed down from the bench and kicked the defendant in the shins. He would also have felt less badly damaged by bruised shins than by the need to face a trial.

Or maybe the information presented is limited enough to be misleading. I hope so.
