First and foremost, IBM isn't selling the Linux distros that SCO is flogging the "indemnification" red herring over.

OS has the best indemnification plan of any software out there. The source is open and visible for review. If you think there is even anything slightly questionable about it you can simply chose not to use it, remove the bad part, or replace with similar functionality form another source.

Meanwhile, you "buy" shrinkwrapped software that contains EULA's designed to protect only the seller of the software. Not only do they not provide you with any protection, many of them try to remove first ammendment rights that are guaranteed by the constitution.

BTW, what indemnification is SCO offerring for their software? Are they offerring a refund for their "Linux license" if they lose in court?
