Surely you can do better.
My point is that anything that has a percieved value will become something that is traded, bought, sold or deals made with it. Given IBM's income from patents one can hardly argue they have no value. Would it be wrong of IBM to say we would rather cash out on it now instead of taking the time to gain income from licensing? I sure don't see how.
