AFAIK, this is mostly a local/state issue. The Bush administration has pretty much stayed out of it. Same for all of the other issues - the federal government has, so far, not been very involved in these educational issues.

I doubt it. More than likely, this is language used by talk radio hosts, and not representative of our Republicans in Congress.


BTW, I have a question for you:

When a controversy exists, is it not good to look at both sides of the issues? Should we really close our minds to one side just because we don't like it?
