Better Students?
This coming from the party that just did the largest funding cut in student aid ever while the cost of tuition keeps rising? If they want better students, start encouraging kids to go into the high technology areas and don't make their choice of major based on how they will ever pay off their student loans.

Most importantly, have kids come out of college actually able to perform the job they just dropped $100 grand to get an undergrad for. In the CS world, most people walk out of college with their most complicated course being introduction to Java and a single course on object oriented programming. Something you could have gotten for a few hundred dollars worth of "For Dummies" books.
