We've all assumed that Sony could pull this off, but...
...what if they can't? We went ga-ga over the PS3 specs when they came out last year. But has Sony bit off more than it can chew? It's a company with lots of experience in game consoles, so you'd think they could deliver a product on time and at a cost that they can live with. But, as with Xbox 360, it will take some time before game developers can utilize the new processor and graphics subsystem to their fullest. Xbox game developers have a head start here, and MS has a very long history of giving its developers the tools they need to create software. The Xbox 360 game portfolio might look more compelling in terms of cutting-edge gameplay this holiday season than the initial PS3 offerings, which may be warmed-over PS2 games.
