But it IS our fault ..
If you want to blame somebody for this, blame the pirates. If it weren't for piracy, DRM would not exist, because the content creators would have a way to justify it. But since some content is hitting the Internet before it's even released, then the content creators can approach congress and say, "Look ... they're stealing our stuff, DO SOMETHING!!" But if piracy did not exist, they wouldn't be able to do this. I'm not saying that DRM is a good thing, but as long as people keep stealing the content (instead of boycotting it), this will continue to be a problem. Sure, DRM only manages to curb 'casual' piracy, but the dumba**es in congress odn't know that.

Some of you think that as soon as DVD Jon (or whoever) finds a way to crack this DRM, then the problem will be solved. However, that only adds fuel to the fire so that the next iteration of DRM will be even WORSE. How long are we going to play this cat-and-mouse game and start voting with our wallets?
