unsolicited door-knocking & cell calls

I do object to unsolicited door-knocking and cellphone calls. My phones are registed with donotcall.gov, yet the calls continue. I have complained to Verzion Customer Service almost weekly over the past few months regarding unsolicited calls. I'm told there's nothing that can be done, well it looks like they are acting in my behalf - thanks.

I get calls such as Unknown Caller, 32 times in one day. When the number is revealed it's 000-000-0000, 001819 or 900-82. What's that about? And the numbers that are revealed 877-247-9298 and 866-383-0986. When called back a recording is reached that I can't call from this location. These are not occisional calls, these are multiple times a day.

If I had to pay everytime I had a unsolicited door knock, I would be just as angry. I live in a gated community and have a No Solicitation sign in four languages and that still doesn't work.

Don't get me wrong, legitimate telemarketers have every right to call my home - NOT MY CELLPHONE. If legitimate telemarketers had to pay to make the call to a cellphone then go ahead call me, it would stop.
