Couple of points

1) Terrorists can come from any country and get training anywhere. One of the members of Al-Kieda was spome kid from Marin, California, USA who went to the middle east and hooked up with the terrorist faction. The 2 people who orchestrated the Oklahoma City bombing were ex US military, no Muslim or Middle East connection.

2) Due to lax laws regarding data security in the United States over the years (new laws like HIPPA have been initiated since) have allowed large amounts of personal infomation to be made available fairly easily (FOIA, for example).

3) Businesses outsource stuff all the time, to anywhere in the world. This makes them more competitive because they can focus on their core competencies and not deal with tasks not pertinant to what makes them money. This si done all over the world, as almost everywhere is connected and information does not know any national lines (or religios, political, etc.).
