I can see you are not an Intel advocate but what's new in here, right? Anyway, ViiV is more than a bag of chips. Although I agree it's hard to quantify in technical terms, I saw it at CES. It represents a usage model that is quite useful along with compatibility and interoperability with other devices in the 'digital home'. I agree there are '..damn few media centers..', but I commend Intel (and I guess, now AMD with the Live something or other) to get that usage model made pervasive.

Well, you might was well say you're an AMD bigot. Why hide it? In any case, Jobs is a brilliant marketeer, technologist and in touch with the consumer - a tremondously valuable combination. He is not an idiot and will lead the PC industry to participate in the much bigger consumer electronics and entertainment industry. This is good for you and good for me.

You are entitled to your opinion of Jobs is this and that and how you see the big picture and not him. See how idiotic that sounds? Here you are posting on ZDNET of your big picture and 'stupid Jobs' just collected $4 Billion for Pixar and possibly running Disney , and Apple !
