I don't know, does enjoying and being willing to fight for your freedom and privacy make you left wing. If so I guess Benjamin Franklin was left wing. A person who I would certainly feel honored to be associated with.

To paraphrase one of his more famous quotes: Those who would trade their freedom for a little temporary security deserve neither freedom nor security.

My personal opinion is that once you give up your freedoms because of terrorist threats the terrorists have already won without having had to commit a single act of violence to achieve their goal.
