How distorted is the English version of Google search!
When searching for "Tibet" in English version of Google, what do you, as a normal user, expect to see? Information about the geography and history of Tibet, or about Dalai Lama and his exile government?

To me, when searching for the name of a place, I wouldn't expect to find lots of useless political and propaganda websites related to that place. I'd like to the sceneries and history and culture related to that place.

Contrary to what the article says, the English version of Google search is actually extremely distorted. To quote a proverb, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease." Many people on the earth knows how to influence google search, which uses PageRank and related technologies. They have created so many websites of their own that point to each other.

In a word, the search result on Google is not objective. It's often manipulated by influential bodies. And they are very unhappy that they lose that influence when a government decides to censor those websites.
