Some say it's too late
The power is held by those who have no intentions of removing thier own power. Next the media has dumbed down voters to the point where they will vote for sausage if it ran for president.

This is not just a US problem. It happens in other countries too. Corruption has a hold everywhere and US media is exported to these countries where it's dumbing down effect work there also.
