Steve Jobs has done this before. The rendering and heavy computer work at Pixar is run on X86's. Has been for quite a while. So while the 'boss of Apple' was out telling everyone who would listen the 'benifits' of the PPC (and how much better they were), the 'boss of Pixar' made the best buisness decision, and didn't use them.
You'll see more of the same in this deal. The main question becomes how public does it get, and how much does he have to say with the Disney hat on?
