This is a DRM trainwreck
that could easily happen, and I hope it does. The
fourth paragraph sums it up nicely:

"In other words, believe it or not, Apple CEO
Steve Jobs would be guilty of a federal felony if
iTunes transferred DVDs to an iPod as easily as
it can music from a CD."

This is definitely a case of the DMCA(Don't Make
Content Accessible ;)) blocking an innovation
from realizing its' potential. Steve Jobs may
wind up doing all of us a favor if this
trainwreck comes to pass.
