I have $20 worth of "Connect Cash"
Anybody want it for free?

Seriously, I got a $10 credit at Sony Connect when I bought a DL DVD writer and again when I bought another one for the home. I checked into the Sony Connect store and found out that I had to download close to 50MB worth of DRM ridden media player software just to BUY one song. Let me say that again, it seemed like I couldn't even buy a song without downloading and installing their player in spite of the fact that my VAIO laptop already has SonicStage and a bunch of other Sony media software on it.

At the time I checked into this, we were full into the Sony rootkit debacle and I would not even dare to download their malware. The real glencher was the fact that I could not play any of the Connect Songs on my Creative or Sandisk players. I would also need to plunk down more cash to buy a Sony portable player.

What a great offer from Sony! I just can't understand why they're doing so poorly in the market-place...

I think I still have the cards. Anyone want to try them out?
