Don't worry. In a couple years' time the market will collapse; thin client

solutions being all the rage.

MS (amongst other companies) will love it because of licensing "subscriptions"; and if they've been lax with their current subscription system (aka no new versions being released on a timely schedule), they'll become even more lax...

Anything you do will be over broadband and will be server-oriented. Nixes piracy too.

Also nixes personal freedom and the ability to own in our "ownership society", but that's nothing more than an inconvenience anyway. Oh well!
