The problem with your reasoning, is that most people have figured out that DVD's, games, CD's, etc. are VASTLY overpriced.
Most companies spend about 1 million dollars to make a video game, then sell it for 50 dollars to start and rake in 1 million sells. That is 50 million dollars they take in, a 4900% profit!
There is NO other business that makes that much money other than technology-related business, music and movies.
That's why I don't like to hear companies complain when some poor person infringes their copyright or patents.
