In this nation you get what you pay for. We pay for a Patent Office that's about what the people want it to be.
We complain self-righteously about infringement of patents and we castiage companies that make a living owning patents and suing those who violate patent and copyright laws but we highjack music and we spend lots and lots of money with the Chinese who don't give a whit about our patent laws.
Why?
Because we can buy their stuff cheaper.
We're all in favor of patents until we get a better deal from someone else...devil-take-the-hindmost.
You get what you pay for in the USA.
