I'd love 2-3% as salary.
2-3% Of my company's monthly net? Sure!!! that would be fantastic.

The point here is that the music is being broadcasted, if I am paying a monthly fee and listening to their station, then pressing record shouldn't cost me anything, it has been free like this since I recorded tunes off the radio 20 years ago, why should it change now because the RIAA is greedy?

If the broadcasters and the RIAA come to an agreement on royalty fees that have nothing to do with me, then fine, but don't look to my pockets when i'm already paying through the nose for digital equipment, broadband, and monthly fees.

Artists get their money from concerts.
