Opportunities are everywhere, stop chasing corporate $$$
I couldn't let this article go by without again saying, corporate computing is NOT the end all and be all of software!!!

So many developers have pie in the sky dreams of writing the next great thing for corporate use with the hopes of large dollar, single sales. (Selling multi-copies to a single corporate customer or selling a single copy for large dollars.)

Folks, those days are over, at least for software likely to come from a small shop. Yes there was a time when a couple of guys could write a word processor but the world has all the word processors it needs. In fact all of corporate computing is pretty well covered and now we see refinement and evolution of existing software and paradigms. In the corporate world the "next killer app" is just a dream.

Again, the corporate world is just one segment of the market and there is a huge market in home use waiting to be filled. I will remind developers that only half (roughly) of US homes even own a computer because, well because they see nothing that makes owning a computer worth the time and costs. That is where the market opportunities are. Of course that requires that developers change their attitude and stop chasing a fantacy that simply isn't going to happen...
