tis is not a Mac thing
this is not a speical mac processor. Even Intel says its faster in their own benchmarks.

Intel is using this new core for all future chips, not just for Apple. All makers will start using the Intel Core chips in laptops in the upcoming months, even Dell. The ones in the Dells are just as fast, and better than crappy old P4s
