You might want to actual find out the truth

First of all, most analysts say that the Mac market share is at 4.2% not 3.7%, granted not much of a difference, but it has gone up even more.

Second, this false 'marketshare' terminology is misleading. According to all these analysts, Marketshare equals sales. This is completely wrong. It is fairly accepted, even by these analysts, that Mac users ugrade their machines every 6-8 years, while Wintel users ugrade every 2-4 years. Thus, actual machines in use is very likely twice (or more) that of the stated 'marketshare'. To me, marketshare is machines in use, not sales, but since sales is so easy to track and machines in use is almost impossible to know, they use sales. However, they, then, shouldn't be using the misnomer marketshare to describe those numbers. Software developers and potential customers use those numbers without knowing the truth behind them. This hurts Mac sales and the amount of software developed for them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number of Macs is actually closer to 10-12%. Still a small minority, but certainly much better than the 4.2% that's often quoted these days.
