The key phrase here is "not compatible with the iPod", meaning
you've already shut out 80% of the buying public. Oops.
All Apple software is, by definition, "not compatible with 90% of the buying public" but that doesn't stop the Mac zealots from crowing about how great and profitable Apple is! We will just have to wait and see how well MS does.
I'm also curious about your "80%" quote. Do you have stats saying that 80% of all the people who own a portable music player do not own a single WMA compatible player? While the iPod might be the single most popular music player, I find it hard to believe that, considering the huge numbers of cheap, cheap, cheap WMA players out there, the iPod has 80% of the entire player market. I am completely willing to be surprised though.
