- Keeping a job? Are you kidding!?!
-
Company policy is to get rid of people who put many years of
dedicated and loyal service into any given entiry again for pure
economic reasons.
Then to add to all our problems is the ever increasing cost of
health care....rising much faster year after year after year than
the rate of inflaction. More companies are reducing health care
benefits, demanding that the employee cover more and more of
the costs or dropping health care as a benefit all together. No
one has made any real effort at changing this so as the years go
on it will only get worse until the whole system colapses onto
itself. At the same time other nations are moving forward to
become economic powers. Europe is uniting. India and China
are becoming economic power houses and technological giants.
Me I'm diabetic and as time goes by it is inevitable that my
health will get worse. Thanks in large part to certain people of
faith I have no hope of seeing any serious improvement in my
condition due to a real cure....but rather the only thing I can
hope for is the current situation of monthly "patches" that cost
an arm and a leg...i.e. pills and such. Medicines gun to your
head. No solution or cure just a junkies fix every month.
So here is the situation in a nut shell. There is no amount of
work or effort that will make you safe in any given job. As you
gain senority your paycheck may grow with even mere 2 to 3%
pay increases and sooner or later there will be some young stud
straight out of College that you will be asked to "train" and the
end will be near. If you get sick you will not be fixed but rather
hooked on drugs that you will have to take for the rest of your
life or die...Your choice. As you get pushed out of one job to
another you will find your savings used up in the transition
period when finding another job will be tough and take some
time. If you manage to save anything when and if you are
allowed to reture it will last you 2.2 seconds and then you will
have nothing. You will (if you are lucky enough to have a family
to aid you) become a burden on said family and your continued
existance will drag them down. God Bless America eh?
