This statement is sooo far off base. Let me correct your statement; iPod dominates due to excellent software / hardware integration, and planning (which the others are still very far behind in) Think... If this weren't true they would NEVER be where they are with such a late start.

"They added style to existing tech and nothing more."

Are you an Apple hater or sumthin'? Even though you may hate or feel insecure as an IT person around Apple products THEY TOTALLY SMOKED/CREAMED/WIPEDUP THE FLOOR with the competition especially sinced the competition was given such an enormous head-start.
