Can I imagine? There is no need.
"Can you imagine how ignorant and narrow minded people would be if they all only held validity in peoples opinions, when those opinions matched there opinion?"

There is no need to imagine it. As it is the natural state of the world. You believe that I and others have missed it when we do not agree with you. Consider, perhaps, that it is you that has missed it. I am not suggesting to base decisions on one piece of information. But to weigh the value of information in regards to the sources and their relevence to the decision at hand. It is simply false that every piece of information is -equally- valueable to any particular task. And I will lend more credibility about the shape of the world to an expert in geometry over an expert in theology. The shape of the world can be learned through geometric calculation and was in fact known to the Greeks with an extremely high level of accuracy based on the observations of well shadows at noon on the equinox. It is an observerable fact, and does not require anyone's opinion. That the earth is round is not a 'decision'. One either learns it is a valid fact, or that it is not.

I purposely attempt to expose myself to ideas I disagree with in an effort better arrive at an understanding my own ideas. I debate/argue/converse to better understand the nature of the universe and that which exists in it. An open mind to possibilities is important. But an effective filter on the probability is more useful than random acceptence weighting of all opinions informed or not.

Perhaps you might consider opening your mind to the possibility that you are in error or, conversely, that you have inadequetly explained your position instead of accusing that those you argue with are ignorant and have 'missed it'.
