so I think it's fair to say they've made quite an accomplishment.

Yeah, they've managed to get tons of users to swallow DRM whole and be thankful for it at the same time. Meanwhile, those of us who like owning our music instead of it owning us will have to do without as more and more CDs become copy-protected and more and more 'exclusives' show up on ITMS. I guess we can thank generation iPod for this one.
