That CD player in you computer counts too
And yes many people do listen to thier CD in the compturs CDROM drive. Why buy two devices? If you're spending $1000 on PC and it is capable of playing CDs why would drop another $100 for CD player to have next to your PC. Add to that the need for additional power as you PC, Monitor, Printer, Cable modem, router and speakers are already using up the what most power bars supply.

You comment is quite illogical. I know I don't go driving to listen to music or limit myself to one dedicated room. Then I have portable playing device like an IPOD then I'm definitely going to load my CD collection in I-Tunes to play on my IPOD.

The reason the CDs are still selling is because people buy music because of the artist. They don't pay attention to corporation making it.
