More H1-B visas on the way?

Companies lobby because it WORKS...: Corp leaders and immigration lawyers will continue to yell "shortage" no matter the reality and our politians seem to pay lip service to its' citizens. Business interests are the only ones politicians seem interested in now. The field will fully collapse from the offshoring/H1-B trend or from an economic collapse in this country. Students would seem wise to avoid any field that has any guest worker or offshoring exposure.

As far as a "guest worker program" I have yet to meet a H1-B that is going back home - all are getting green cards. I just spoke to a recent greencard recepient who told me all his brothers and wife are here on H1-Bs.
