Old Reliable machines...
Honestly, I just feel that there are too many pitfalls and question marks in electronic voting. Even with a paper trail, they can still say on the paper that you voted for candidate X when you could have sworn that you punched the button for candidate Y.

Also, as another person responded, mandatory voting would not be a particularly good idea. The last thing we need is people who don't follow the issues voting out of some artificial sense of obligation stemming from a (metaphorical) gun to the head. If people vote, I think it should be because they genuinely care about where they want society to go, not just for some sticker or because they have to.

Besides, Diddy tried that with his "vote or die" program, and not a single casualty came of it. wink
