Just What We Need...
...a technology that confirms the perception that elections are a crapshot anyway. Losers in, losers out, what's the diff, a vote is a vote wasted anyway, nothing changes, why bother, stay home and wait for FEMA.

We need paper-verified electronic voting systems that are not, as Diebold systems are, compromised by the politics of their owners and manipulated, as in Ohio, Florida and elsewhere, by unscrupulous political operatives with no love for democracy.

Don't help the people who are helped by anything that makes people despise their ballots. If they can limit the vote to their 6% fringe fanatics, your children will forget they once could change their own government.

If you think that figure's inaccurate, check the last Presidential election. You had 17% of the electorate voting. How much harder do these people have to work to take you out of the loop completely?

If you love freedom, don't let electronic voting become the replacement for the ballot.
