Google should sign up BBC

They should stop the lies and instead embrace the Internet as another distribution channel. It's a cheap distribution system, it can potentially have an huge number of simultaneous television channels, its potentially very high quality, P2P techniques like bittorrent mean they don't even need to pay for the bandwidth.

It's just not necessary to keep repeating the Betamax lawsuit mistake every time something new comes out.

They plan on Simulcasting on net and TV. If they let non UK viewers pay the license fee in order to view, I'll pay it because its worth the fee.
All they need is a distribution channel, they could do it themselves, or license selling and serving up to others, (e.g. Google Video, Yahoo TV etc.).
