If I made baseball bats and you bought it from me and hit someone with it, didn't I just make something that I know could be used as a weapon - even though that obviously isn't the direct intention of my product.

I would think that the p2p sites were making it for legitimate file sharing, but yes you can trade illegal stuff over it too. Doesn't mean you have to. How do you enforce it when it's the users abusing it? You shut it down and sue the manufacturer?!?

I saw a similar post on here before in an article a long time ago: would you sue the car manufacturers for a bank robbery with their get-a-way car. Obviously it has legitimate uses but some abuse it.
