My point was: I fail to see how credit card numbers, addresses, and telephone numbers are ESSENTIAL liberties. Franklin's quote is being used in every discussion from The Patriot Act to Worker Drug-Testing. It sadly is about to become cliche. I gave a comparison of the 2nd amendment which reads "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Some people may have you believe that this means that they have the right to walk through downtown with a full-auto AK-47 and a M-72 L.A.W.

That still does not make what the airlines & our government did Right!
And why are people suing the airlines and NOT the government?
