I can appreciate your point...
... However, if one takes your stance to the extreme, it seems that nothing can ever be invented or improved upon, because someone, somewhere might find a way to use it for nefarious purposes. Along those lines of thought, the Chinese (inventors of gunpowder) are to blame for modern warfare, and the researchers who first discovered that diseases are caused by microscopic biological aggents are responsible for Germ Warfare. While both of those statements have some basis in fact, I think most people would agree that the benefits to humanity as a whole of both gunpowder and biological research grossly out-weigh the negative aspects.
One further thought. Depriving evil men of technology will *NOT* prevent them from perpetrating their evil. I have yet to see a technology that *CAN* be used for evil purposes fail to be used for evil purposes.

But that's just my opinion, and hey... I could be wrong. wink
