Been using it a long time.
Its common knowledge that surveilance cameras can be knocked out using simple pen-style laser pointers. The only difference between that and this "new revellation" is that this seems to find the camera for you. If a near-do-well knows where the camera is (visible), just point the laser pointer at it to disable it. I harass our security folks all the time.
