You are off on a few points here...
First, I like the way you try to use irrelevant arguments to strengthen your point. Fantastic. To address those:
1)Internet Explorer was shelved by order of the federal courts. Remember? They had to segregate it from the core OS. That took time.
2)a. it is spelled asphyxiated.
b. Proof that they did not destroy the browser market: Mozilla Firefox, which I am using now.
Now, to address the relevant topics:
1)When you buy anything, what does it matter to you if future incarnations of the product are refined?
2)Do you really think-as suggested in your previous post-that MS is just throwing a bunch electronics in a box and selling it for $400? They have entrenched themselves in this market, if you have not noticed. Xbox live, Full MCE integration, full connectivity to their new OS in sp2. Get real man. They will not destroy a market that they have spent so much time and money developing. They actually lost money with every 1st gen Xbox they sold, just to be able to get into this market.
I am not defending the business practices of MS here, but I felt obligated to reply to a post so off base. By the way, how much IS a plane ticket from the moon these days? Did you use Travelocity?
