You are in a global economy, get a clue!
IT work is farmed to places like Internet City, Dubai and Bangalor, India, where there are skilled people that are not demanding the same wages and have a lot of Masters Degrees!

I get the feeling that you (No_Ax) have a problem with thinking globally, as in what is needed for business! I also see that you have some major problems with comeptition (especially for technical work)! You should get over that!

Many companies and corporations are now global and have offices all ovet the world, Examples of this include: Citibank, Boeing, Microsoft... If you can not adapt to the changes, then you are out of luck!

Due to some of the laws passed in the US, companies are better of (from a shareholder point of view or taxes perspective) to move to places like the Cayman Islands or other places outside the reaches of US law. These companies are only beholden to their sharholders and investors, not the workers! This situation holds true for many industries: agreculture, aerospace, avionics, auto manufacturing, IT, making of cloths, and a host of other jobs!

Maybe it is time to get off your butt and adapt to the changes that globalization brings! This opens up a lot of competitition, not only for jobs and customers but also for services! If you have never worked in a multinational company, then maybe your point of view is understandable (though you need to update your perspective and broaden your views)!
