As you pointed out in one tiny sentence, if they don't defend their copyrite with this "kid" then they can lose it and everyone in the future gets a "free ride".

Are you suggesting this "kid" is so stupid he didn't know what would eventually happen? Or are you suggesting he seen an opportunity to take advantage of a situation and demand $10,000 for something he knew didn't rightfully belong to him? In either case it speaks poorly about this "kid".

Hey, I know, MS should just hand out a few thousand dollars and let all the "kids" know they too can rip others off. Yes sir, now there is a lesson all "kids" should learn, NOT!
