only 40 cents!!?!?!?
Dang, where I live (Seattle) it's 48 cents a gallon where the state part of that tax is 28 cents a gallon and that is BEFORE the 9 1/2 cents (yea, 1/2 cents, don't ask...) gas tax increase that we are about to roll back via voter initiative in November.

Washington state has the 5th highest state gas tax in the Union - but we sure don't have the 5th best roads in the Union.
