Rivacy is the main point John.
Of course RFID can be a very useful tool for business. But as with everything else the unintended consequences will be overlooked.

The marketing implications are such that most in business will oppose restrictions due to privacy concerns.

John, your downplaying of the importance of personal privacy is dangerous. Do you have an agenda? Or has your love of tech blinded you?

RFID should not be in consumer products until strong consumer protevtions are put in place. Including a verifiable way to permanently deactivate the tags before one leaves a store.

Technology is great so long as it is used responsibly and the people are protected from it's invasiveness and abuse.
