I'd say it is limited selection and price

But selection first. You usually have a pick of 5 movies for the week. These movies are also just the newly released movies too. In some case you could already get the DVD weeks before as was the case with the Incredibles, I had the DVD 3 weeks before it showed up on PPV. The add the $6.99 price tag you pay per movie plus the $5/10 ($5 for sat and $10 for cable) a month fee just to have the option to use PPV then you really see why it's bombing prospect.
