I'm using generic and they work
I first bought a 50 pack of Sony DVD+R's and they worked great. Then I found some generic brand that BestBuy was pushing 50 for 12.99. They are no different, probably the same thing, just not the Sony name on them.

Take my recommendation, by cheap...
