Comparing the success of music sales tru iTunes with the
possibility of doing the same with movies is wrong.
iTunes is a success because it's a part of an "experience": iPod+
iTunes = easy, quick and cheap music everywhere.
It's the combination of the 2 that is so successful and that's why
others continue to fail.
Besides the bandwidth problem, there are much less reasons
why you would want to carry a movie around, maybe you want to
attach a Video iPod in your car for you kids entertainment but
only very few people want to watch a movie on a cell phone size
screen while on public transport or on the beach or while doing
some sport. And do you really want to look at a soso quality
movie on you lovely Plasma screen? don't think so.
And why download something you maybe want to see only once
(unlike a song you want to listen to many times) ? Downloading
a movie would surely be more expensive then renting the DVD,
and often slower too.. and if you really like a movie, like a
classic, you probably prefer to own the best possible version of
it, so you buy the DVD with the extra's and all.

Downloading a MusicVideo, ok but a Movie? Not yet.
